  A friend and I spent an 8-hour day on the water with one of Donavon's guides, James. By all accounts, this season has been a bit slow by the usual... read more standards, but James worked hard to find the fish, and we ended up with 37 cats between the two of us. The biggest was over 37", with multiple fish over 34". The smallest we caught was about 28", and it was the smallest by far. For anyone in Western Canada who enjoys fishing, this trip is something you should experience. And Blackwater Cats is definitely the way to go. Awesome experience. …

  This was my 2nd trip with Blackwater Cats and Ryan was our guide again on Lake Winnipeg. We had 1 day in which we caught 15 walleye over 25". The thing I find impressive is how all the guides work together to find fish.
